A great spoof on horror movies genre - Scary Movie Reviews

As a huge horror movie fan, I must admit Scary Movie is one of the best satires on the genre. It did an excellent job of displaying the clich鳠many horror movies have and at making fun of at some of most important/significant parts of some of the top ranking horror movies. Though spoofs on certain film genres are not uncommon (i.e. Mafia, Scream if You Know What You Did Last Friday The 13th, Not Another Teen Movie), it's one of the most unique and well organized. There were a few scenes in the film that were pretty silly and didn't do justice to the film, however it did not take away from the films humor or overall effect. The acting in the film was memorable- I wish I could say some people didn't take their roles seriously, but this wasn't exactly a film to be serious in. Overall, the cast did an good job. The visuals of the film were great- the crew of the film did a great job of recreating the scenery of the films that were being ridiculed. The film used a few special effect near the beginning and near the end and they were done in a moderate and tastefull form, making it look amazing. Overall, I'd give this film a B+. Great effort on both the actor's and crew's part.
